NSM commemorates Memorial Day in Missouri

About thirty people attended the Memorial Day week-end hosted by NSM Missouri. The first arrivals started trickling in Friday night with the rest coming in throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday morning. Friday night and Saturday was mainly spent reconnecting with old friends. We never see each other often enough and we should make it a point to gather socially with other National Socialists. Saturday was also spent gathering supplies for the next day’s Swastika lighting. Saturday night we had a grand bonfire with excellent camaraderie around the fire. There is just something about a fire that touches the Aryan man deep down in his soul so that the camaraderie around a fire is very different than any other camaraderie. This went on until near dawn the next morning.

It had rained on and off throughout the day Saturday and Sunday broke with a thunderstorm overhead. That is unfortunately becoming a tradition! It cleared off after a bit and we were able to get the Swastika built, although after the rain it was hot and muggy. We had a good day of camaraderie building the Swastika and it did my heart good to see Aryans working together for the common good of the Folk. After a full day of building and raising the Swastika, the storm clouds looked to be rolling in again and it was a race against time to get it lit. SS Mann Drew Bostwick led us in a very traditional, if somewhat hurried lighting. As lighting flashed across the sky, SS Mann Boswell paid special tribute to our own fallen hero, Gen. “Wild Bill” Hoff. The clouds proved to be nothing more than a threat, though, and we enjoyed the rest of the evening around the fire.

Monday, Memorial Day we were up and at the park. The pavilion looked excellent festooned with American and NSM flags. The kids enjoyed playing in the lake while the adults enjoyed grilled burgers and brats once again expertly prepared by Sgt. Knowles of Kansas City. Special thanks to Sgt. Drake and Ami Bostwick for manning the tables. We had NSM merchandise, a bake sale to benefit the Viking Youth, and a raffle for NSM Missouri.

All in all, it was a pretty good week-end. We built great camaraderie with old friends as well as made new ones. It is good to have just a social week-end every once in a while. Plus, we were able to pay tribute where tribute is due: to the heroes of our nation - those who have fought bled and died that we might be free and great!
